On 19 June 2026, Hajdina Primary School hosted an information meeting for principals and members of leadership teams from Slovenian schools participating in the ESLTI project.
The meeting was led by the Slovenian project coordinators from ZRPRS, Petra Krajnc Urbanija and Mitja Vidovič. They presented the purpose of the project, the planned activities, and the role of the participating schools in the next stages.
Teja Razpotnik, mentor and trainer in the project, presented the upcoming work with school leadership teams. This included the national training, the internal school innovation labs, and the practical use of the school innovation template. Teja had previously taken part in the Training of Trainers organised in Málaga in April 2026.
The meeting also covered the main findings from the first phase of ESLTI. Partners discussed what helps innovation remain in schools after a project ends or external support is no longer available. The key point was clear: innovation is more likely to last when it becomes part of everyday school practice and is supported by a wider team, not only by one motivated person.
Slovenian schools will take part in a two-day national training later this summer. After that, each school team will work on one realistic school innovation idea and prepare it for testing in its own school context.
The meeting in Hajdina helped clarify the next steps for the Slovenian schools and gave the participating teams a common starting point before the national training begins.
